Why Roles of TV is helpful for Learning

One of the mass media widely used by Indonesian people is Television. Most Indonesian people use television to access information until now. This is clearly an opportunity for Indonesian television to contribute valuable education to the public. such as learning media, learning resources, and sources of information.

First reason is that television as source of information, television has a great opportunity to educate the public by providing true and responsible information so as to be able to foster a smart society because television has massive information affordability. Especially with the development of increasingly advanced technology, people are required to be able to adapt and be aware of the existence of technology so that people do not experience technological shock and technological determinism.

Second reason, as a learning resource, television must be able to provide educational services to the audience. As learning resources can improve the ability of children in language, how to talk and communicate with resource persons or teachers who can develop children's views in various aspects of life.

Finally, I think as a learning media television has various advantages, which can be used to improve the quality of learning. The learning process in school will be greatly helped by the use of television media, and this will obviously be very beneficial not only for students but also for teachers. Thus, it is expected that the use of television media for education will be able to expand the opportunity to get education, and also be able to support efforts to improve the quality of education.

Based on the role and function of the television above, I think that televison has big benefits and assitances for learning, as I am sure that the use of television in learning requires a clear design.  I think every teacher must first prepare the material suitable for the students, and then after the learning process is complete an evaluation must be made so that students don't just watch but really understand what the content of the lessons in it.
