Review Text THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN 2

Introduction

I will start by saying that I am a huge fan of Spider-man. I love all the trilogies worked by Raimi (yes, even the Spider-man 3) but I do not like the The Amazing Spiderman 1. I was skeptical when I wanted to watch this movie, but I was wrong and I think this second sequel is really great. Unlike its predecessor, this film is full of action, humor, and emotional. Played by the big players, the story is well-written. The action is really spectacular and the final scene makes me satisfied.

Interpretative Recount

The story begins when Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) struggled to maintain his relationship with Gwen (Emma Stone) after her father’s death. His actions also causes the emergence of a new enemy, Electro, a villain played by James Foxx. Peter also continue to investigate what happened to his father and reunited with his old friend, Harry Osborn. This movie is ended by the death of Gwen that makes the audience will be very emotional and sad.

Evaluation

However I have to criticize about this film addressed to Paul Giamatti who plays Rhino. His appearance is too over. His acting also does not show that he is a feared villain. It would be a serious problem for the next Spiderman series. So I hope he can improve his acting better than before.

Summary

Overall, I think this is the best superhero movie since the appearance of The Dark Knight Rises. The script is well-written and convincing. I am sure the next series will be outstanding superhero movie. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves Spider-man or other superhero movies.

The analysis summaryy of each text type in the form of a short report.

The purpose of news report is to inform readers of what is happening in the world around them. The social function of news report is to inform the target readers, listeners, and viewers about events which are considered important and relevant to them by summarizing the event by mentioning only the important points in first paragraph and tells the events in details by providing the details of the important points, as stated by the sources such as authority, source person, witness. In order to have a good news report, we should use telegraphic information about story captured in headline, direct and indirect sentences to report the events according to witness(es) and the source person and use past tenses. Using prepositional phrases to state the circumstances briefly will help the readers understand the news. Using clause will make our sentence in news report will be more attractive.

           Caption is a short article that completes an image. Caption is used to emphasize an article content, report, essay and others. The meaning of caption can be simplified as a brief description of text which is generally found under an image, photo, table, graph, and a chart that is used to describe an object. the meaning of the caption in Indonesian is a brief explanation of images, photos, tables, graphs, and charts to complement the explanation of an article or news item text

            Advertisement is a short interesting functional text. The Social Function of this text is to persuade listeners or readers to buy or to use the product or services being advertised or to convince products, services, or events to the public. The purpose of the advertisement is to announce/advert about a case or a public, or in other words to introduce a product to the public in order to buy and attracted to the product being advertised. A good ad should be clear in a purpose which built the advertisement, product names and the target readers. Besides, Coinage will make ad more interesting because coined words make lively and eye-catching. Comparative and Superlative Adjective will also make ad more convincing, while compound word will gives the readers a sense of closeness. To have a good command so the reader will be interested, we have to use Imperative Sentence and Disjunctive Clause.

            Review is an appreciation or an evaluation of a publication, such as a movie, book, novel, etc. which contains the orientation/introduction paragraph as its background to tell the products. Concluding statement, opinion, recommendation should be the next paragraph which called Evaluation by telling the chronology or characteristic of the product, film, music, or novel. At the last paragraph, there is always an opinion of the reviewer as a conclusion for e product, film, movie, novel or music.
